Welcome to Victory Fellowship Church
At Victory Fellowship Church, we are not defined by tradition, religion, or rigid rules. We are a family—a community of individuals who come together in fellowship and support.
The word “church” originates from the Greek term Ekklesia, which signifies a gathering of people rather than a building or location. No matter who you are or what challenges you face—whether broken, struggling, or feeling alone—there is one source of true healing: Jesus Christ.
You may feel unworthy of belonging to a church or worry about being unwelcome or unheard. However, the Bible teaches us that the Lord Jesus invites you to come as you are. As a Christ-centered, Bible-based church, we are called to walk in His footsteps.
At Victory Fellowship Church, we embrace you with open arms and welcome you into our family. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. The Lord lifts us up together.
Mehdi Tabakhi’s journey to Christ began in 1998 during a family business trip to Malaysia. While staying with an Indian family, he attended church out of courtesy, where a Canadian pastor prophesied that Mehdi would travel to an Arab country where “God will meet you.” This moment marked the beginning of his spiritual awakening.
Upon returning to Iran, Mehdi brought home a Bible and a Christian cassette, though he initially showed little interest. A year later, he moved to Dubai, deepening his commitment to his Muslim faith. However, after marrying Lucille, a Catholic Filipina, he began to question his beliefs. His friendship with Mahmood, an Iranian who had converted to Christianity, profoundly impacted him. Witnessing the love and grace within the Christian community, Mehdi felt a stirring in his heart.
As he diligently studied both the Quran and the Bible, he grappled with contradictions—particularly those concerning Jesus. He began attending Bible studies, and after watching a film about Jesus that moved him to tears, he prayed earnestly for guidance. One night, a life-changing dream led him to fully embrace Christianity.
Despite opposition from his family, Mehdi and Lucille took a bold step in faith, choosing to be baptized together in the Persian Gulf. Today, Pastor Mehdi Tabakhi serves with a passionate heart, dedicated to sharing the love of Christ. His testimony stands as a powerful reminder that when we earnestly seek God, He reveals Himself to us.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
- Genesis 1:26
